Passing Of Actor Miguel Ferrer

Miguel Ferrer, the popular TV and big screen actor, has died of throat cancer at the age of 61.
Ferrer was a son of Oscar-winning actor and musician José Ferrer and the legendary singer, Rosemary Clooney. (He was a cousin of George Clooney.)
Ferrer’s multi-faceted talent and distinctive voice enabled him to portray villains as well as heroes to critical acclaim.

Ferrer’s most notable roles include: FBI Agent Albert Rosenfeld on Twin Peaks (he will appear in David Lynch’s revival of the series on Showtime which premieres May 21), Dr. Garret Macy on NBC’s Crossing Jordan, Robert Morton in the original RoboCop and Owen Granger on NCIS: Los Angeles, a role he played since 2012 until recently. (The abbreviated list of Miguel Ferrer’s best known roles doesn’t do him justice. He was a prolific and sought after character actor, who appeared in over 40 movies and just as many popular television series from Magnum P.I., Cagney and Lacey, Star Trek, Hill Street Blues, Trapper John M.D., Miami Vice and Will & Grace to Law & Order: Criminal Intent.)

Judging by the response of his relatives and friends to his passing, Miguel Ferrer must have been much more than a talented artist. He has earned significant respect and admiration as a human being as well.

US Celebrity Blog extends our condolences to his wife Lori, sons Lukas and Rafi, other family members, many friends and fans who are mourning his passing.
